Fromm Clayvin Vineyard Pinot Noir 2003, Marlborough, New Zealand

Ripe strawberries and cherries with a hint of earthiness, intense and fruity, balanced and aromas of mushrooms. Tannins are very ripe and these add to the ripe plum and savoury characters, slightly cloudy indicating that this wine has not been finned for filtered. Lots of maturation character. This wine is ready for drinking - so get into it if you have some in your cellar. We enjoyed this with our Christmas ham and cranberry relish - the perfect accompaniment. Posted 30/12/13.
