Sacred Hill Sauvage Sauvignon Blanc 1998, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand

What a surprise, a 16 year old Sauvignon and not a hint of asparagus or canned peas. Still very lively and complex with lots of biscuity characters, but still the acid to provide the backbone. Who says that NZ Sauvignon Blanc can not be cellared.
