Muirlea Rise boutique vineyard comprises 4.5 acres of closely planted vines which was established in 1987, and is placed amongst the oldest of Martinborough’s wine producers.
Muirlea Rise still use cork - which is damn near odd in the New Zealand wines industry today. They believe cellared wine develops best under cork. The Portuguese have expended a huge amount of effort to overcoming “Corking” and for the most part have succeeded.
Muirlea Rise wine’s include a Pinot Noir aged in French Oak and typically unfiltered, Mareth, an old school Cabernet \ Syrah styled blend barrel aged for 3 years. And of course, Apres - This wine liquor has a loyal following appreciative of its up front sweetness and dry brandy finish.
